The Wiki Myth Project

You can access it by clicking here.

This will count as your test for this unit, so let's make it the best you can make it. The directions for this project are on the wiki as well as an example.

Still having trouble, here is the step-by-step instruction sheet.

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY - go through and fix mistakes and add more information to existing entries or you could pick one that has not been created yet and do a new one. This will count as an additional test grade. If you are updating an existing page, there should be a considerable difference in what it was and what you made it. If you want to, you can make less major changes to two or more.

ANOTHER EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY - to the left are two versions of the Herakles story (Herakles is the Greek name for Hercules). They are both done in the spirit of the old VH1 Pop Up Video. Whileyou are reading, you will see random facts and odd information that fits (somehow) into the text near it.

It is unfinished. In order to get the extra credit, you will print out the PDF and fill in the remaining boxes. If you have a computer that can read Microsoft Word, then get the DOC version and just fill it in right on the file. You can adjust the text boxes and add pictures if you wish. This will boost your quiz average.

YET ANOTHER EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY - print out this Trojan War Find It and find all the objects. It will go itno your daily average.

THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS - EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY # 4 - Read the Dirk Pitt book, Trojan Odyssey, and complete the book report assignment found here. Dirk Pitt is an action/adventure hero much like a cross between James Bond and Indiana Jones. I have a copy of the book in my room available for check out.

In the final pages of Valhalla Rising, Dirk Pitt discovered, to his shock, that he had two grown children he had never known-twenty-three-year-old fraternal twins born to a woman he thought had died in an underwater earthquake. Both have inherited his love of the sea: the girl, Summer, is a marine biologist; the boy, himself named Dirk, is a marine engineer. And now they are about to help their father in the adventure of a lifetime.

There is a brown tide infesting the ocean off the shore of Nicaragua. The twins are working in a NUMA underwater enclosure, trying to determine its origin, when two startling things happen: Summer discovers an artifact, something strange and beautiful and ancient; and the worst storm in years boils up out of the sky, heading straight not only for them but also for a luxurious floating resort hotel square in its path.

The peril for everybody concerned is incalculable, and, desperately, Pitt, Al Giordino, and the rest of the NUMA crew rush to the rescue, but what they find in the storm's wake makes the furies of nature pale in comparison. For there is an all-too-human evil at work in that part of the world, and the brown tide is only a by-product of its plan. Soon, its work will be complete-and the world will be a very different place.

Though if Summer's discovery is to be believed, the world is already a very different place...
